Natural glass from an ancient meteorite strike.

Tektite formed when meteorites struck the Earth long ago, melting the ground into a high-silica natural glass that cooled into these dark, pitted stones.

It is surprisingly light in the hand, lighter than it looks, and no two pieces share the same shape or surface.

By now I already have a small collection of various crystals. There are all very beautiful and were purchased at a very reasonable price. I addition I was given a comprehensive compendium in a pdf format which gives details about all various crystals and their magic properties. 5 stars for packaging! Wrapped extremely well in bubble wrap! Shipping took a long time since it was coming from China and going to USA. I'm happy with the size of the tektite, it's bigger than I had expected. It does seem like a glassy crystalline type structure that resembles smokey quartz but with holes like a lava stone. I can't say much about the energy as I do not feel any significant noticeable change like I did with my piece of Moldavite (the iconic Moldavite flush). The stone does look and feel a bit greasy like it was dipped in oil for aesthetic purposes. I do intend to take the stone to a local professional to determine if this is genuine meteorite tektite since this specimen doesn't come with a certificate of authenticity. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase, and appreciate the 4 pack welcome kit stone set (quartz point, citrine point, cube of fluorite, and a cluster amethyst ) for first time buyers!

I didn't know what to expect and when it arrived I was put off a bit because I thought that I was sent a regular rock. That's until I held it up in the sun. I was amazed by the layers of tektite.
